The two-way switch controlling mirrors
H31
operates electric motors located in the right and left electrically-operated
door mirrors
P60
and
P61
respectively.
The switch is supplied when the ignition
is turned on (INT/A) from fuse line
F5
of junction unit
B1
to pins 1 and 4 of
H31
, while pin 2 is earthed.
The mirror is adjusted by operating the
switch in one or other directions. Positive and earth signals are
then sent to one of the two motors to determine the direction of
rotation.
Pins 9 and 10 of the mirror control switch
H31
supply the motors, at pin 2, that adjust the vertical position of
mirrors
P60
and
P61
.
Pins 8 and 7 of
H31
supply the motors,
at pin 3, that adjust the horizontal position of mirrors
P60
and
P61
.
The mirrors are folded down by operating
mirror control switch
H31
: pins 1 and 2 of connector D of
P60
and
P61
are connected to pins 11 and 5, and to pins 12 and
6 of the mirror control
H31.
Switch
H31
is lit by ignition-operated
power source (INT/A) from the line of fuse
F5
of junction
unit
B1
.
The electro-chromic interior rear view mirror
P65
contains an electronic device that controls the mirrors
automatic antiglare function.
The supply for the device
P65
comes
from the battery via the fuse CENTR of the MAXIFUSE box
B5
,
the contact for relay
R1
of engine compartment junction
unit
B1
and fuse
F9
.
Relay
R1
is energized when the ignition
switch
H1
supplies the INT/A line.
When the reverse gear engaged signal arrives
(see E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS) the antiglare function is disabled.
