3315615 - E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING - Functional description (Right hand drive)
Functional description
The control unit
M80
manages the
operation of the central door locking system.
The control unit is supplied directly from
the battery at pin 30 of connector B through the line of the MAXIFUSE
CENTR of
B5
and fuse
F19
of junction unit
B1
;
pin 85 of connector A provides the reference earth.
The control unit
M80
receives the
commands to lock (pin 87 of connector B) or unlock (pin 87a of connector
B) the doors, coming from the switches (handles) in the front locks
N50
and
N51
, or the remote control receiver
M35
(for
this component, see E7015 ALARM): it is the same commands that
light up the 'doors open' LEDs in the instrument panel and which
control the timing of certain lights (see E2510 - COURTESY LIGHTS).
The control unit also receives signals on
the state of the locks for the rear doors, coming from geared motors
N55
and
N56
, at pins 87 and 30 of connector A, respectively.
these are the same signal which light up the 'doors ajar' LEDs in
the instrument panel and which control the timed operation of some
lights (see E2510 - COURTESY LIGHTS).
The control unit
M80
commands the
locks on the basis of the logic illustrated previously; the lock/unlock
signals for the motors of the front doors (
N50
and
N51
)
and rear doors (
N55
and
N56
) come from pins 85 and
86 of connector B.
The control unit
M80
receives the
signals for the switch in the control unit on the tunnel H36 for
locking/unlocking the doors from the inside at pins 86 and 87a (connector
A).
