) - 1076B22 rear exhaust silencer - r+r emission control versions . 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the rear exhaust silencer heat shield (1b).

1. Position a hydraulic jack under the intermediate exhaust silencer.2. Release the intermediate exhaust silencer from the flexible mountings.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the intermediate exhaust silencer to the catalytic converter.2. Remove the intermediate exhaust silencer.3. Remove the seal.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and the nut (1b) and remove the intermediate exhaust silencer heat shield (1c).

1. Position a hydraulic jack under the rear suspension crossmember.2. Undo the bolts (2a) and lower the rear suspension crossmember (2b), as necessary, using the hydraulic jack.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the intermediate heat shield (1b).

Refitting ( Removing

) Fit the intermediate heat shield and fix it using its bolts.1. Replace the rear suspension crossmember (1a) in its housing using the hydraulic jack (1b) and fix it tightening the bolts (1c) to the recommended torque.

Remove the hydraulic jack from under the crossmember.

Fit the intermediate exhaust silencer heat shield and fix it using the bolts and the nut.Place the intermediate exhaust silencer, complete with seal, back in its housing and fix it to the catalytic converter tightening the bolts to the specified torque.
