) Place the vehicle on a ramp. Make sure that the ignition is off (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op. 5530B10 battery - r+r ).

- 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (right and left). - 7040D30 engine bay front beam cover - r r . - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (left). 1. Disconnect the coolant inlet and outlet pipes from the turbocharger.2. Undo the connector (2a) and disconnect, from the left cylinder head, the oil delivery pipe to the turbocharger (2b).

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r . - 1076B70 exhaust pipe between pre-catalytic converter and catalytic converter - r r . - 1080B40 catalytic pre-converter - r r . - 1064A46 sleeve connecting lh exhaust manifold and turbocharger flange - r r and replace gaskets . - 1064A48 sleeve connecting rh exhaust manifold and turbocharger flange - r r and replace gaskets . 1. Disconnect the air intake pipe from the turbocharger.2. Disconnect the air outlet hose from the turbocharger.3. Disconnect the vacuum intake pipe for the supercharging pressure solenoid valve from the turbocharger.4. Disconnect the control pipe from the waste-gate valve actuator.5. Undo the connectors and remove the engine oil return pipe from the turbocharger.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the turbocharger (1b) complete with support.

Refitting ( Removing

) Fit the turbocharger complete with support and fix it, tightening the nuts to the specified torque.

Fit the engine oil return pipe from the turbocharger and tighten the connectors to the specified torque.

Connect the control pipe to the waste-gate valve actuator.Connect the vacuum intake pipe for the supercharging pressure solenoid valve to the turbocharger.Connect the air outlet hose to the turbocharger.Connect the air inlet pipe to the turbocharger. - 1064A48 sleeve connecting rh exhaust manifold and turbocharger flange - r r and replace gaskets . - 1064A46 sleeve connecting lh exhaust manifold and turbocharger flange - r r and replace gaskets . - 1080B40 catalytic pre-converter - r r . - 1076B70 exhaust pipe between pre-catalytic converter and catalytic converter - r r . - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r . Connect the turbocharger oil supply pipe to the left cylinder head and fix it tightening the connector to the recommended torque.

Connect the coolant inlet and outlet pipes to the turbocharger. - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (right). - 7040D30 engine bay front beam cover - r r . - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (right and left). Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Remove the vehicle from the ramp.
