3315347 - 1004D40 engine - position on stand and remove (Automatic transmission)

Secure and support the engine for hoisting using a hydraulic jack fitted with suitable chains.1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the insufficient engine oil pressure switch.

1. Remove the engine oil filter (1a) using a suitable tool (1b). 1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the drive belt fixed tensioner (1b).2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the alternator (2b). 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the alternator mounting (1b). 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and the bolts (1b), then remove the power unit rigid rear support (1c). 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and the bolt (1b), then remove the left exhaust manifold heat shield (1c). 1. Undo the nuts fixing the connecting hose between the left exhaust manifold and the turbocharger, exhaust manifold side.2. Loosen the nuts fixing the connecting hose between the left exhaust manifold and the turbocharger, turbocharger side.3. Recover the seal. 1. Undo the nuts (1a) and the bolts (1b), then remove the left side exhaust manifold (1c), complete with gaskets (1d). 1. Loosen the bolt (1a) for the collar (1b) and remove the catalytic pre-converter (1c) complete with Lambda sensor. 1. Disconnect the coolant inlet and outlet pipes from the turbocharger.2. Undo the connector (2a) and disconnect the oil supply pipe to the turbocharger (2b) from the left cylinder head. 1. Undo the connector (1a) and disconnect the engine oil return pipe from the turbocharger (1b), oil sump side.2. Undo the nuts (2a) and remove the turbocharger (2b) complete with support and pipes. 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the air conditioning compressor (1b). Fit the engine on the overhauling stand using suitable tools.1. It is possible to use the tool to support the engine on the overhauling stand.

Release the engine from the hoist.Secure and support the engine for hoisting using a hydraulic hoist fitted with suitable chains.Undo the fixings and remove the engine complete with supporting tools.Undo the fixings and remove the supporting tools from the engine, then place them down.1. Fit the air conditioning compressor (1a) and fix it tightening the bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

1. Fit the turbocharger (1a), complete with support and pipe, and fix it tightening the nuts (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Connect the engine oil return pipe from the turbocharger (2a) to the oil sump and tightenthe connector (2b) to the recommended torque.

1. Connect the turbocharger oil supply pipe (1a) to the left cylinder head and fix it tightening the connector (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Connect the coolant inlet and outlet pipes to the turbocharger. Fit the catalytic pre-converter, complete with Lambda sensor, and fix it to the collar.1. Fit the exhaust manifold (1a), complete with gaskets (1b), and fix it tightening the nuts (1c) and bolts (1d) to the recommended torque.

1. Place the seal (1a) in its housing and tighten the nuts (1b) fixing the connecting hose between the left exhaust manifold and the turbocharger.

Fit the left exhaust manifold heat shield and fix it using the nuts and the bolt.1. Fit the power unit rigid rear support (1a) and fix it tightening the nuts (1b) and the bolts (1c) to the recommended torque.

Fit the alternator mounting and fix it using the bolts.Fit the alternator and fix it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

Fit the single belt fixed tensioner and fix it tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.

Fit the engine oil filter and tighten it fully by hand.Connect the electrical connection for the insufficient engine oil pressure switch.
