Place the steering wheel in
the centred position with the wheels straight. - 7040A43 cover (one only) for wiring beneath facia - r r

- 7040A65 passenger compartment box lock , one , r r

Refitting

Removing
)
Refit in its seating the support
with steering shafts.Connect the earth lead to the support with
steering shafts.Tighten the bolt securing the support with
steering shafts.Refit the junction unit in its seating
and secure with its bolt. - 5505A18 multi-function control unit - r r
.
Fit the steering wheel adjuster lever and
stop, and secure them with their nut.Tighten the bolt securing the trim on the
support with steering shafts.Connect the ignition switch electrical
connection and secure the electrical wiring with its clip.Fit the electronic key aerial to the ignition
switch block. - 5550A12 complete stalk unit - r+r for versions with air bag
.
- 4110A11 steering wheel - r+r for replacement or check for
versions with air bag
.
- 7040A26 steering column trim - r+r
.
- 5580C18 air bag module - r+r
.
1. Tighten the bolt securing the steering column to the power steering
