3314572 - 3330B08 pedal mount assembly - r r and overhaul with facia trim support beam removed for right-hand drive versions

Removing ( Refitting ) Drain the brake-clutch fluid from the reservoir using a suitable syringe.1. Remove the cover after releasing it from the hose from the clutch reservoir to the master cylinder.2. Disconnect the hose from the clutch reservoir to the master cylinder on the master cylinder side.3. Disconnect the rigid delivery pipe from the master cylinder on the master cylinder side.
1. Undo bolt (1a) and nuts (1b) securing the right side of the pedal unit to the bodyshell.
1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the accelerator control potentiometer.

2. Remove stop (2a) then release the servobrake control rod (2b) from the brake pedal return bar.3. Undo the bolts securing the left side of the pedal unit to the bodyshell.4. Undo the nuts securing the brake assembly to the brake servo.
1. Remove the complete pedal unit.
FIt the complete pedal unit in a vice fitted with protective jaws.1. Remove the spring (1a) and disconnect the rod (1b) from the accelerator pedal potentiometer.2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the accelerator pedal potentiometer (2b).
1. Remove circlip (1a), undo bolts (1b0 and remove accelerator pedal (1c) after releasing it from the mounts.
1. Remove the circlip.2. Release the brake pedal return bar spring and remove the support.3. Recover the spring (3a) and the bushes(3b).
1. Remove spring (1a) and withdraw the pin (1b) connecting the clutch pump to the pedal.2. Undo the nuts (2a) and remove the clutch pump.
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and remove the clutch pedal (1b) complete anti-friction washers.2. Recover bracket (2a) and rod (2b) complete with spring (2c).
1. Slacken the pedal unit stiffening bolt.2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the clutch pedal mount(2b) complete with bearing.
1. Remove the bearing (1a) from the clutch pedal mount using tool (1b).

1. Remove the accelerator and clutch pedal mount (1a) complete with bush (1b).
1. Completely undo pedal unit stiffening bolt (1a) complete with spacers (1b).
Refitting ( Removing ) Fit the pedal unit stiffening bolt complete with spacers and screw in without tightening.Place the accelerator and clutch pedal support back in its housing complete with bush.1. Fit clutch pedal mount bearings (1a) using an hydraulic press and tool (1b).

Place the clutch pedal mount , complete with bearings, back in its housing and fix it using the bolts.Tighten the pedal unit stiffening rod.1. Place the clutch pedal (1a) back in its housing compete with bracket (1b), rod (1c) and anti-friction washers (1d) then tighten the nut (1e) to the recommended torque.
1. Fit the clutch pump (1a) back in its housing and tighten the nuts (1b) to the specified torque.2. Fit the pin connecting the clutch pump to the clutch pedal and fix it with its pin.
Fit the pedal unit left side mount complete with clip and bush and secure using the circlip.Place the accelerator pedal back in its housing and secure it with the bolts and circlip.Place the accelerator pedal potentiometer back in its housing and secure it with the bolts.Connect the rod to the accelerator pedal potentiometer and fix it using the clip.Remove the complete pedal unit from the vice and place back in its housing.1. Tighten the nut retaining the pedal unit to the servobrake to the specified torque.2. Tighten the nut retaining the left side of the pedal unit to the bodyshell to the specified torque. 3. Connect the servobrake control rod (1a) to the brake pedal return bar and secure with the pin (1b).4. Connect the electrical connection of the accelerator pedal potentiometer.
1. Tighten the bolts (1a) and the nuts (1b) fixing the right side of the pedal unit to the bodyshell to the specified torque.
Connect the rigid delivery pipe to the master cylinder, master cylinder side, and tighten the connector to the specified torque.Connect the hose from the clutch reservoir to the master cylinder on the master cylinder side.Place the cover back in its housing then secure the hose from the clutch reservoir to the master cylinder to the cover.  - 1820B08  Clutch release HYDRAULIC SYSTEM - Bleeding air and restoring levelWhen refitting the accelerator pedal potentiometer, adjust it as described below.Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position.Connect the tool to the diagnostic socket and place the knob in position 3.

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment.Turn the ignition to the ON position).Using the Examiner, enter the "Parameters" field.Press "Selection" and select the "Accelerator position track 1" parameter.Check that the potentiometer's calibration conforms to the specified values:during idling (accelerator pedal released), 8% ± 1%fully open (accelerator pedal fully depressed), 64.3% ± 1%.If the setting is not as specified, adjust the accelerator pedal travel by means of the accelerator pedal travel stop.Remove the diagnostic equipment.
