Removing ( Refitting ) Remove the passenger side carpet.1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove passenger side footrest (1b).
1. Undo bolts (1a), remove plastic pins (1b) and remove the injection-ignition control unit cover (1c).2. Undo nuts (2a) and move injection-ignition control unit (2b).
1. Undo bolts (1a) and move the injection-ignition control unit cover (1b) after releasing the accelerator control potentiometer wiring from the band.
1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove the left side protection for the central console (1b).
1. Remove clip (1a) and disconnect rod (1b) from the accelerator pedal.2. Remove elastic ring (2a), undo bolts (2b) and release the accelerator pedal from the mount.
Remove the driver side carpet.1. Undo bolts (1a), remove plastic pin (1b) and remove the under-facia lining driver side (1c).
1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove driver side footrest (1b).2. Undo bolts (2a) and remove the right side protection for the central console (2b).
1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the steering control shaft (1b) from the power assisted steering box pinion.
The bolt is pretreated and cannot therefore be refitted.
1. Remove the floor carpet as much as required then undo the bolts retaining the relay holder bracket to the tunnel.
1. Remove the accelerator pedal.
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the accelerator pedal back in its housing.Tighten the bolts retaining the relay holder bracket to the tunnel and place the floor carpet back in its housing.1. Connect the steering column (1a) to the steering box pinion and tighten the new bolt (1b) to the specified torque.

Place the right side protection for the central console back in its housing and secure with the bolts.Place the driver side footrest back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.Place the driver side under-facia lining back in its housing then secure it using the bolts and the plastic pins.Put the driver side floor carpet back in place.Secure the accelerator pedal with the bolts and the flexible ring.Connect the accelerator pedal rod and secure it with its clip.Place the left side protection for the central console back in its housing and secure it using the bolt.Place the injection - ignition control unit mounting back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.Secure the accelerator pedal potentiometer wiring with the band.Place the injection/ignition control unit back in its housing and fix it using the nuts.Place the injection/ignition control unit cover back in its housing and fix it using the and plastic pins.Place the passenger side footrest back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.Place the passenger side carpet back in its housing.When refitting the accelerator pedal potentiometer, adjust it as described below.Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position.Connect the tool to the diagnostic socket and place the knob in position 3.

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment.Turn the ignition to the ON position).Using the Examiner, enter the "Parameters" environment.Press "Selection" and select the "Accelerator position track 1" parameter.

Check that the potentiometer's calibration conform to the specified values.

  • during idling (accelerator pedal released), 8% ± 1%
  • fully open (accelerator pedal fully depressed), 64.3% ± 1%.
If the setting is not as specified, adjust the accelerator pedal travel by means of the accelerator pedal travel stop.Remove the diagnostic equipment.
