Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp. - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left).  - 7040D30  engine bay front beam cover - r r .  - 7040D14  engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right). Draw off the fluid from the power assisted steering reservoir using a suitable syringe. - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r .  - 4450B10  Front WHEEL (one) - R.R. (Right).  - 7055B39  front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r (Right).  - 7055B41  front supplementary wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, rear element r r (Right).  - 1092G10  single engine belt r r1. Release the air conditioner compressor electrical connections from the bracket on the power steering pump and move them away.2. Undo the connector (2a) and disconnect the feed pipe from the fluid reservoir to the power steering pump (2b), power steering pump side.3. Undo the connector (3a) and disconnect the delivery pipe from the pump to the power steering box (3b), power steering pump side.
1. Undo the top bolt securing the power steering pump to the relevant mounting.
1. Undo the bottom bolt securing the power steering pump to the relevant mounting.
1. Undo the bolt securing the power steering pump bracket to the engine mounting, timing gear side.
1. Remove the power steering pump.
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the power steering pump in its seating and secure it using the bolts.1. Connect the supply pipe from pump to power steering box (1a), power steering pump side, and tighten the connector (1b) to the specified torque.

2. Connect the feed pipe from the fluid reservoir to the power steering pump (2a), power steering pump side and tighten the connector (2b) to the specified torque.

3. Replace the air conditioner compressor electrical connections in their seatings and secure them to the bracket on the power steering pump.

(Right).  - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r .  - 7040D14  engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right).  - 7040D30  engine bay front beam cover - r r .  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left). Fill the power steering circuit with the recommended fluid.

Bleed the power steerign system as described below.With the front wheels raised off the ground, with the engine switched off, carry out 4-5 complete steering wheel rotation cycles (left and right).Check and, if necessary, top up the fluid level in the reservoir.Remove the car from the ramp.Start the engine and carry out 4 - 5 full steering wheel turn cycles (right and left).Top up the fluid level in the reservoir.
