Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Draw off the fluid from the power assisted steering reservoir using a suitable syringe. - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r .  - 1076B52  exhaust pipe (one) leaving l/h or r/h exhaust manifold - r + r (Right and left). 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the power steering box heat shield (1b).
1. Undo the connector (1a) and disconnect the return pipe from power steering box to heat exchanger (1b), power steering box side.
1. Undo the nuts (1a) and release the return pipes from power steering box to heat exchanger (1b) from the mounting brackets (1c).
1. Undo the bolts securing the radiator support beam to the bumper.
1. Use a suitable shim to move away the lower edge of the bumpers.2. Undo the connector (2a) and disconnect the return pipe from power steering box to heat exchanger (2b), heat exchanger side.
1. Release from its attachment (1a) on the front suspension subframe and remove the return pipe from power steering box to heat exchanger (1b).
Refitting ( Removing ) Refit in its seating the return pipe from power steering box to heat exchanger and secure it to the front suspension subframe.1. Connect the return pipe from power steering box to heat exchanger (1a), heat exchanger side, and tighten the connector (1b) to the recommended torque.2. Remove the shim used to move away the lower edge of the bumpers.
Tighten the bolts retaining the bumpers to the radiator support beam.Fix the return pipe from power steering pump to heat exchanger with the relevant mounting brackets and tighten the nuts.1. Connect the return pipe from power steering box to heat exchanger (1a), power steering box side, and tighten the connector (1b) to the specified torque.
