Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Draw off the fluid from the power assisted steering reservoir using a suitable syringe. - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . 1. Undo the bolts securing the radiator support beam to the bumper.
1. Use a suitable shim to move away the lower edge of the bumpers.2. Undo the connectors on the inlet and outlet pipes from the heat exchanger pipe.3. Remove heat exchanger pipe (3a) after releasing it from mounting bands (3b).
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the heat exchanger pipe back in its housing and secure it using the mounting bands.Tighten the inlet and outlet pipe connectors to the heat exchanger pipe to the specified torque.Remove the shim used to move away the lower edge of the bumpers.Tighten the bolts retaining the bumpers to the radiator support beam. - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . Fill the power steering circuit with the recommended fluid.

Bleed the power steering system as described belowWith the front wheels raised off the ground, with the engine switched off, carry out 4-5 complete steering wheel rotation cycles (left and right).Check and, if necessary, top up the fluid level in the reservoir.Remove the car from the ramp.Start the engine and carry out 4 - 5 full steering wheel turn cycles (right and left).Top up the fluid level in the reservoir.
