Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Draw off the fluid from the power assisted steering reservoir using a suitable syringe. - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r Guard beneath engine]. 1. Unscrew the bolts retaining the bumper to the radiator crossmember.
1. Use a suitable shim to move away the lower edge of the bumpers.2. Undo the inlet and outlet pipe connectors from the heat exchanger pipe.3. Remove heat exchanger pipe (3a) after releasing it from mounting bands (3b).
Refitting ( Removing ) Place the heat exchanger pipe back in its housing and secure it using the mounting bands.Tighten the inlet and outlet pipe connectors to the heat exchanger pipe to the specified torque.Remove the shim used to move away the lower edge of the bumpers.Tighten the bolts retaining the bumper to the radiator crossmember. - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r Guard beneath engine]. Fill the power steering circuit with the recommended fluid.

Bleed the air from the power steering system as described below.With the front wheels raised off the ground, with the engine switched off turn the steering wheel to full lock, left and right, 4-5 times.Check and, if necessary, top up the fluid level in the reservoir.Remove the vehicle from the ramp.Start the engine and carry out 4 - 5 full steering wheel turn cycles (right and left).Top up the fluid level in the reservoir.
