3315433 - 2135BA Check on plausibility of transmission fluid temperature (PTC) sensor (Automatic transmission)

Connect the diagnostic instrument (Examiner or SDC) to the car's diagnostic socket and check that the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid is no higher than 30° C.If the gearbox fluid temperature is over 25° C, wait for it to cool down to that temperature. If the fluid temperature is below 25° C, set the gear lever to the "P" position, start the engine and wait for this temperature to be reached, then turn off the engine.Disconnect the main electrical connection of the auto transmission wiring, on the auto transmission top cover.

-CAE solenoids assembly  L50
Using the multimeter built into the diagnostic instrument, check that the resistance of the gearbox fluid temperature sensor (PTC) is 980-1000 ohm.
See wiring diagram E7050 to identify the output pins.
If the specified value is not measured, replace the auto transmission wiring (carry out op.   2135B58  electronic automatic transmission system wiring - r r ).
The gearbox fluid temperature sensor (PTC) is built into the wiring.
