) Make sure that the ignition is off (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op. 5530B10 battery - r+r ).

- 5540C40 motor (1), lh or rh, for correcting/aligning gas discharge light unit r r . 1. Rotate the exhaust gas headlamp control unit in a clockwise direction to release it from the fastening on the light cluster and move it as far away as possible.2. Undo the nuts (2a) and move the protective cover (2b) away.

1. Remove the bulb holder (1a) from its housing without disconnecting the electrical connection and remove the side lights bulb (1b) (press fit).

Refitting ( Removing

) Fit the side lights bulb in the bulb holder.Place the bulb holder back in its housing.Place the protective cover back in its housing and fix it using the nuts.Rotate the exhaust gas headlamp control unit in an anti-clockwise direction to fasten it to the light cluster. - 5540C40 motor (1), lh or rh, for correcting/aligning gas discharge light unit r r . Connect the electrical connection to the exhaust gas headlamp control unit. - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r . Connect the negative (-) battery terminal - 5540B38 headlamp/light cluster light beam - position .
