3315722 - E5060 CRUISE CONTROL - Functional description (Automatic transmission)

Functional description

The Cruise Control function is controlled by engine management unit M10 upon a command from the Cruise Control switch H7 located to the left of the steering wheel. Control H7 is supplied via pin 2 of an ignition-operated line (INT/A) protected by fuse F5 in junction unit B1 .

Control H7 is connected to management unit M10:

  • to pin 10 of connector A, with the OFF signal
  • to pin 42 of connector A, with the RECALL signal
  • to pin 43 of connector A, with the SET + signal
  • to pin 58 of connector A, with the SET - signal
Pin 26 of connector A of M10 receives a signal from the second contact of brake light switch I30 , ignition-operated (INT/A) through a line protected by fuse F1 in junction unit B1 . For the management of the Cruise Control function the control unit also uses an earth signal from pin 2 of clutch pedal switch I31 received at pin 59. Signals from accelerator pedal potentiometer K55 are sent to pins 7-8-24-25-40-56 of connector C of M10 (see E5030 PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT). Engine management unit M10 , sends a signal - pin 1 of connector A to instrument E50 - pin 12 of connector A - which turns on the CRUISE warning light when the system is working.
