Functional description

The direct supply from the battery arrives from two specific lines protected by the maxifuses B34 and B7 at pins 2 and 6 of the ABS control unit M50 . The ignition-operated supply arrives from the line protected by fuse B31 at pin 23 of the ABS control unit M50 .

Pin 22 of M50 indicates the sate of the system to the instrument panel E50 at pin 18 of connector C which, via an internal processor, operates the warning light as follows:

• if the system intervenes, the warning light flashes;
• if there is a fault, the warning light stays on permanently.

Pins 5 and 1 of M50 are earthed. Pin 15 of connector A of E50 receives an ignition-operated supply from the line protected by fuse F1 of junction unit B1 . The fuel pump N90 , which keeps the brake fluid under pressure, is connected to control unit M50 at pins 3 and 4. Pins 8, 9, 10, 21, 39 and 41 are connected to the slew sensor K74 , which informs the control unit M50 on the rotation of the vehicle around the vertical axis. The control unit M50 also receives signals, at pins 24 and 40, from the steering angle sensor K58 . Pins 25, 26 and 42 of M50 are connected to the pressure sensor K72 .
