) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Ensure that the ignition key is in stop position, then disconnect the battery negative terminal ( - 5530B10 battery - r+r ).

Proceed with the removal - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with the removal - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Drain the brake fluid using a suitable syringe.1. Release the precharging pump from its bracket and disconnect the electrical connection.

2. Release the precharging pump electrical wiring from the retaining collar.

Proceed with the removal - 4450B10 Front WHEEL (one) - R.R. (Left side). Proceed with the removal - 7055B39 front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r (Left side). Proceed with removal - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r . 1. Undo bolt (1a) and disconnect battery earth lead (1b) from the power unit gearbox end rigid mount.

1. Undo fitting (1a) and disconnect the pipe from brake - clutch fluid reservoir to precharging pump (1b).2. Undo fitting (2a) and disconnect the rigid pipe from precharging pump to three-way connector (2b).3. Undo bolts (3a) and remove the lower precharging pump mounting bracket (3b).4. Undo the bolt (4a) and remove precharging pump (4b) after releasing from the flexible mounts.

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Refit precharging pump (1a) by positioning on its flexible mounts. Then secure to ABS control unit using bolt (1b).2. Refit lower precharging pump bracket (2a) and secure with bolts (2b).3. Connnect the rigid pipe from precharging pump to three-way fitting (3a) and tighten fitting (3b) to the specified torque.

4. Connect the pipe from brake - clutch fluid reservoir to precharging pump (4a) and tighten fitting (4b) to the specified torque.

Connect the battery earth lead to the gearbox side rigid power unit support and fix it using the bolt. Proceed with the removal - 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r . Proceed with the refitting - 7055B39 front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r (Left side). Proceed with the refitting - 4450B10 Front WHEEL (one) - R.R. (Left side). Secure the precharging pump electrical wiring to the retaining collar.Connect the precharging pump electrical connection and secure to the bracket.Bleed the air from the brake/vehicle stability control hydraulic system (procedure due to be published shortly). Proceed with the refitting - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with the refitting - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Remove the car from the ramps.
