Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Ensure that the ignition key is in stop position, then disconnect the battery negative terminal (  - 5530B10  battery - r+r ).

Proceed with the removal  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with the removal  - 7040D14  engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Drain the brake fluid using a suitable syringe.1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the pressure sensor for the VDC system.

2. Disconnect the pin connector from the A.B.S. hydraulic and electronic control unit.

3. Release the electrical wiring from the securing band. 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and disconnect the earth leads (1b).2. Move the electrical wiring out of the way. Proceed with removal  - 1088B12  engine coolant reservoir mount - r r . 1. Release the front left wheel speed sensor wiring from its fastener on the side panel.2. Release the electrical wiring from the collar and move it out of the way. Proceed with the removal  - 4450B10  Front WHEEL (one) - R.R. (Left side). Proceed with the removal  - 7055B39  front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r (Left side). 1. Undo connector (1a) and disconnect the rigid pipe from three-way connector to master cylinder (1b), brake pump side. 1. Undo the connector and disconnect the the rigid pipe from three-way connector to master cylinder , rigid pipe side.2. Remove the rigid pipe from three-way connector to master cylinder after releasing from the retaining collar. Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Refit the rigid pipe from three-way connector to master cylinder back in its housing and secure it using the collar.2. Connect the rigid pipe from three-way connector to master cylinder, three-way fitting side, and tighten the connector to the specified torque.

Proceed with the refitting  - 7055B39  front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r (Left side). Proceed with the refitting  - 4450B10  Front WHEEL (one) - R.R. (Left side). Place the electrical wiring back in its housing and fix it to the bands.Secure the left front wheel rpm sensor wiring to the fastening on the side panel. Proceed with the removal  - 1088B12  engine coolant reservoir mount - r r . Refit the electrical wiring, connect the earth leads and secure wtih bolts.Connect the pin connector to the A.B.S. hydraulic and electronic control unit.Connect the electrical connection to the VDC system pressure sensor.Bleed the air from the brake/vehicle stability control hydraulic system (procedure due to be published shortly). Proceed with the refitting  - 7040D14  engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with the refitting  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Remove the car from the ramps.
