Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Ensure that the ignition key is in stop position, then disconnect the battery negative terminal (  - 5530B10  battery - r+r ).

Proceed with the removal  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with the removal  - 7040D14  engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Drain the brake fluid using a suitable syringe.1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the precharging pump and move the wiring aside.

1. Loosen the connector on the rigid pipe from precharging pump to three-way connector, precharging pump side.2. Undo the connector and disconnect the rigid pipe from precharging pump to three-way connector, three-way connector side. 1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the pressure sensor for the VDC system.

2. Disconnect the pin connector from the A.B.S. hydraulic and electronic control unit.

3. Release the electrical wiring from the securing band. 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and disconnect the earth leads (1b).2. Move the electrical wiring out of the way.3. Undo the connector and disconnect the rigid pipe from three-way connector to hydraulic control unit, three-way connector side.4. Undo the connector and disconnect the rigid pipe from brake pump to three-way connector, three-way connector side. 1. Undo the nut (1a) and remove the VDC system three-way connector (1b). Refitting ( Removing ) Refit the VDC system three-way connector and secure with the nut.1. Connect the rigid pipe from brake pump to three-way connector, three-way connector side, and tighten the connector to the recommended torque.

2. Connect the rigid pipe from three-way connection to electronic control unit, three-way fitting side, and tighten the connector to the specified torque.

3. Refit electrical wiring (3a), connect earth leads (3b) and tighten bolts (3c). Secure the electrical wiring using the collar.Connect the pin connector to the A.B.S. hydraulic and electronic control unit.Connect the electrical connection to the VDC system pressure sensor.1. Connect the rigid pipe from precharging pump to three-way connector, three-way connector side, and tighten its connector to the specified torque.

Refit the electrical wiring and connect the electrical connection from the precharging pump.Bleed the air from the brake/vehicle stability control hydraulic system (procedure due to be published shortly). Proceed with the refitting  - 7040D14  engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with the refitting  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.Remove the car from the ramps.
