Anti-intrusion bar
Structural strengthening element inserted in the door frame to limit deformations towards the inside of the passenger compartment in the case of side impacts.Passive safety
This is the collection of measures which interact to reduce the consequences to the occupants of the vehicle following an accident.The following come into this category: the stratified windscreen, the collapsible steering column, the door opening control cables, the material from which the steering wheel is made, the absence of projections and dangerous corners on the dashboard, the structure of the pedals, the conformation and resistance of the seats, the head restraints, the seat belts (also with pre-tensioners), the air bags and the bodyshell with differentiated resistance, in other words the passenger survival cell which is as rigid as possible with the front and rear sections, on the other hand, with crumple zones programmed to gradually absorb the energy of the impact.
STRUCTURE
The doors have been made through traditional pressing processes and are equipped with anti-intrusion bars to contain side impacts and feature solutions designed to improve safety.Panels free from corners, door check straps with bowden cables to guarantee the operation of the door even in the case of a side impact to the locks following a break in attempt.The doors are fitted with an anti-break in panel which prevents access to the lock control levers from the outside.FITTINGS
The various devices and controls are mounted on the structure according to criteria designed to facilitate repair operations:
- The door cable coupling can be disconnected without removing the door panel.
- The rear view mirror can be removed without detaching the inner panel.
- The door lock can be removed by only removing the inner panel.
