Description

The Navigator system makes it possible to reach a pre-established destination by means of visual and acoustic instructions without having any knowledge of the place of destination.The instantaneous position of the car is determined by the GPS system (Global Postioning System) which processes the satellite signals and signals coming from various sensors of the car with data supplied by the gyroscope integrated in the navigation computer and the data stored in a specific CD-ROM.The Navigator system is managed by the ICS (Integrated Control System), whose control panel is located in the central console.

The panel contains a 5' active matrix colour LCD display, two knobs for adjusting the volume of the acoustic messages and the contrast of the LCD, and a set of keys for activating and checking the following functions of the car (standard or available on request):

  • radio or Hi-Fi system (AUDIO);
  • GSM telephone (TEL);
  • navigator (NAV);
  • trip computer (TRIP);
  • climate control system (CLIMA).
The display shows the screen relating to the selected system; any screens in cascade are shown successively in accordance with the selections made.A main screen summarizes the basic information on the status of all the systems.For further details relating to the selection modes and instructions displayed, see the 'OWNER'S HANDBOOK'.
