2. Disconnect the electrical connection from the fuel pressure regulator on the pressure pump.

3. Disconnect the following from the fuel return manifold pipe:the fuel return pipe for lubricating the fuel injectors (3a)the fuel return pipe from the pressure pump (3b)the fuel return pipe from the filter (3c).

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and move aside the fuel return manifold pipe (1b).2. Disconnect the fuel inlet pipe from the pressure pump.

1. Undo the connector for the pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold, manifold side, using a suitable spanner2. Undo the connector for the pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold, pump side, using a suitable spanner

3. Remove the pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold.

Fit a new high pressure pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold upon reassembly.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the diesel injection pressure pump (1b).

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Fit the pressure pump (1a) and tighten the nuts (1b) to the specified torque.

1. Fit a new pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold and fix it using the connectors without tightening them.2. Tighten the connector for the pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold, pump side, to the recommended torque using a suitable spanner.

The tightening torque figure in the table is the nominal value; therefore the correct value must be calculated according to the length of spanner N. 1.870.671.000.

3. Tighten the connector for the pipe from the pressure pump to the fuel manifold, fuel manifold side, to the recommended torque using a suitable spanner.

Connect the fuel inlet pipe to the pressure pump.Place the fuel return manifold pipe back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

Connect the following to the fuel return manifold pipe:

the fuel return pipe from the filter
the fuel return pipe from the pressure pump
the fuel return pipe for lubricating the injectors.
