Functional description
The supply for the headlamp alignment system is only enabled with the side lights on. The supply for the headlamp alignment device H15 is enabled by relay R1 of the relay control unit B3 via fuse F7 . In addition, the contact for relay R1 of B3 supplies the actuators for the (left) F10 and (right) F11 headlamps. The operation of the actuators (stepping motors) is implemented by the headlamp alignment control H15 via pin 2 of the headlamps F10 and F11 . Relay R1 of control unit B3 is energized when the exterior lights control H6 , in the dipped headlamps position, sends a positive signal to pin 6 of module M45 (electronic check device) via the steering column switch unit H5 (pin 2 and pin 1 of connector A). The exterior lights control H6 produces voltage at pin 7 when the relay R1 for the junction unit B1 is energized by the ignition switch (INT/A). The check device has a direct supply at pins 1 and 6 protected by fuses F11 and MAXIFUSE CENTR B5 . In addition this device receives a supply controlled by the ignition (INT/A) via fuse F1 of B1 at pin 9 from connector 6.Fuses F13 of B1 and MAXIFUSE CENTR B5 protect the following system components:
- exterior lights control H6
- steering column switch unit H5
- electronic check device M45
- relay R1 of control unit B3
Fuse F7 of control unit B3 protects the following devices:
- headlamp alignment control H15
- headlamp alignment adjustment actuators F10 F11 .
