3314057 - 1020D16 front crankshaft oil seal cover - r+r and replace gaskets for versions with airconditioner

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Make sure that the ignition is OFF (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op.   5530B10  battery - r+r ).

Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the front cover (1b) complete with gasket (1c) and oil seal (1d). At the bench, remove the oil seal from the front cover. Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Operate the oil pump using the tool (1a) and check that the timing references (1b) are aligned.

1. Fit the front cover (1a), complete with new gasket (1b), and fix it to the cylinder block/crankcase tightening the bolts (1c) to the recommended torque.

Take care that the oil pump is always correctly timed when refitting.

1. Fit a new oil seal (1a) on the front cover using the tool (1b).
