) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Make sure that the ignition is OFF (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op. 5530B10 battery - r+r ).

Open the plastic protection, undo the nuts (1a) and disconnect the electrical connections (1b) and (1c).

2. Undo the lower alternator fixing bolt.3. Undo the bolt (3a) and remove the lower alternator mounting bracket (3b).4. Undo the upper alternator fixing bolt.5. Undo the bolt (5a) and remove the upper alternator mounting bracket (5b).6. Remove the alternator.

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the alternator back in its housing.Fit the upper alternator mounting bracket and fix it using the bolt.Fit the lower alternator mounting bracket and fix it using the bolt.Tighten the alternator fixing bolts to the recommended torque.

1. Connect the electrical cables (1a) and (1b) to alternator terminals B+ and D+, respectively and secure them using the nuts (1c).

2. Close the plastic protection.

Take great care to ensure that the alternator cables are correctly positioned in their housings, following the routing illustrated in the figure and make sure that the plastic protection is properly closed.
