Earth the front brake pad wear indicator
cable.Turn the ignition on (MAR).Press the brake pedal and check that the
front brake pad wear warning light comes on. Visually check the state of wear of the
rear brake pads.Raise the vehicle and check that the rubber
gaiters on the drive shafts and power steering and the balljoint caps
are not friction damaged or broken.Check that there are no leaks from the
brake and fuel pipes/connectors. Visually check
- bodywork exterior
- underside protection (exhaust, fuel and brake pipes)
- rubber components (dust excluders, hoses, bushes, etc.).

Check and if necessary top up the
following fluid levels:
- brake and clutch,
- power steering,
- windscreen wiper,
- battery,
- engine coolant
- etc.
Connect the EXAMINER or other
diagnostic instruments to the diagnostic socket (select the control
unit in question). Check the plausibility of all the parameters
and if necessary carry out the available active diagnoses.
