) Proceed with removal - 7040A43 cover (one only) for wiring beneath facia - r r . Undo the bolts and remove the central console left trim.1. Remove the rubber protector (1a) and the accelerator pedal travel stop (1b).

1. Move aside the floor carpet, unscrew the nuts (1a) and remove the steering column universal joint guard (1b).

1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal from the potentiometer linkage.2. Remove the stop (2a), undo the bolts (2b) and remove the accelerator pedal (2c).

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the accelerator pedal back in its housing and secure it with the bolts and stop.Connect the accelerator pedal to the potentiometer linkage.Fit the steering column universal joint guard and secure it with its nuts.Put the floor carpet back in place.Refit the accelerator pedal travel stop in its seating with its rubber protection.Refit the left trim on the central tunnel and secure it with the bolts. Proceed with refitting - 7040A43 cover (one only) for wiring beneath facia - r r . When refitting the accelerator pedal, connect the Examiner and proceed with the potentiometer self-initiation procedure.
