Check that the handbrake cables
are correctly positioned and undamaged.With the handbrake lever fully lowered,
check that the levers on the rear brake pads/calipers are in the
support position or advanced no more than 1-2 mm.If necessary, slacken the adjustment nut
on the handbrake lever to obtain this condition.With the engine running, operate the brake
pedal vigorously 30 times.With the brake pedal released, operate the
handbrake lever vigorously (about 40 daN) and check that the lever
engages 5-7 clicks in the sector gear.Operate the lever vigorously a further 10
times and check that the initial number of clicks is maintained.
