3314191 - 1088C40 thermostat- r + r (Automatic transmission)

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp.Ensure that the ignition key is in OFF position, then disconnect the battery negative terminal (-).

Proceed with removal  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Proceed with removal  - 7040D30  engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with removal  - 1016A10  sound-proofing cover - r + r . Proceed with removal  - 1048B22  air delivery sleeve from heat exchanger to intake manifold - r + r . Proceed with removal  - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . 1. Loosen the band and disconnect the coolant return pipe from the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side. 2. Loosen the band and disconnect the upper coolant inlet hose to the radiator, thermostat side. 3. Loosen the band and disconnect the coolant return pipe to the climate control heater, thermostat side. 4. Loosen the band and disconnect the coolant supply pipe to the water/exhaust gas heat exchanger for the E.G.R. system, thermostat side.

Collect the coolant which comes out in a suitable container.

5. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

6. Release the coolant return pipe from the heater to the band. 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the thermostat (1b) complete with O-Ring (1c). Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Refit thermostat (1a), complete with O-ring (1b) and secure by tightening the bolts (1c) to the recommended torque.

Fix the coolant return pipe from the heater to the band.Connect the electrical connection to the engine coolant temperature sensor. Connect the engine coolant supply pipe to the EGR system water/exhaust gas heat exchanger, thermostat side and tighten the band. Connect the engine coolant return pipe from the climate control system heater, thermostat side, and tighten the band. Connect the upper coolant inlet hose to the radiator, thermostat side, and tighten the band. Connect the engine coolant return pipe to the supply reservoir, thermostat side and tighten the band. Refill the engine cooling system with coolant  - 0010T20  coolant change . Proceed with refitting  - 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . Proceed with refitting  - 1048B22  air delivery sleeve from heat exchanger to intake manifold - r + r . Proceed with refitting  - 1016A10  sound-proofing cover - r + r . Proceed with refitting  - 7040D30  engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with the refitting  - 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Left side). Connect the negative (-) battery terminalRemove the car from the ramps.
