3314000 - 0010T12 engine oil and filter replace (Automatic transmission)

Position the vehicle on the ramp1. With the engine hot, remove the filler cap.2. Withdraw the oil level dipstick. Proceed with the removal  Refer to op.. 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left sides). Proceed with removal  Refer to op.. 7040D30  engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with removal  Refer to op.. 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . 1. Undo the drain plug on the engine sump and drain the oil fully into a suitable container.

Be careful when removing the drain plug, as the oil could be very hot.

Do not disperse the oil into the environment, as indiscriminate dispersal of this product causes pollution.

Proceed with removal  Refer to op.. 1076A46  heat shield for catalytic preconverter r r . 1. Position the tool and secure it to the cartridge engine oil filter.

Rotate to loosen the cartridge engine oil filter fully.

Collect the engine oil which comes out in a suitable container.

1. Remove the cartridge engine oil filter from the upper part of the engine compartment. Clean the drain plug and screw it on, with its seal, to the specified torque.

Lubricate the gasket of the new oil filter with engine oil and screw on the filter fully by hand. Proceed with refitting  Refer to op.. 1076A46  heat shield for catalytic preconverter r r . Proceed with refitting  Refer to op.. 7055B54  under-engine guard - r r . Refill the engine lubrication circuit using the recommended oil.

For the optimum operation of the engine in particularly harsh climatic conditions (temperatures below -15 degrees C), use the recommended oil for the engine lubrication circuit.

When refilling with engine oil, take the utmost care to avoid oil spilling accidentally into the alternator ventilation slots, so as to avoid damaging the alternator and prevent the possibility of fire.

Check that the engine oil level on the dipstick is correct.

The oil level should be checked with the vehicle on flat ground. If the oil level is higher than the MAX mark, it could cause excessive evaporation of the oil and a loss of pressure.

Refit the filler cap, run the engine at idle speed for about 2 minutes, turn off the engine and wait a few minutes. Check the oil level and that there are no leaks. Proceed with refitting  Refer to op.. 7040D30  engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with the refitting  Refer to op.. 7040D12  engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left sides). Remove the car from the ramps.
