3309440 - E3032 DOOR MIRROR ADJUSTMENT - Description (Right hand drive)
Description
The two external rearview mirrors are adjusted
by the control on the driver's door armrest, illuminated when the
side lights are on. The two mirrors are adjusted by a single button pressed
in the four directions: a switch selects the right or left mirror. The button, which can be pressed in four
directions, controls two electric motors located in each of the
two mirrors: one motor rotates the mirror on a horizontal axis,
while the other on a vertical axis. The function for folding these mirrors back
is operated by another button. The mirrors can only be adjusted and folded
when the ignition is on.The circuit for adjusting and folding back
the door mirrors is controlled by the starting inhibition relay
and is protected by a specific fuse both located in the luggage
compartment junction unit. The electro-chromic rearview mirror incorporates
an electronic device which permits automatic operation of the anti-dazzle
feature. The automatic anti-dazzle function is disabled when reverse
gear is engaged. The device only operates with the ignition
ON and through the same line which supplies the door mirror adjustment.
