3314776 - 5040A65 PIPE from multi-stage (pressure switch) valve to expansion valve - R.R.

Follow the safety instructions ( See assembly 5040A air conditioner coolant circuit ).

) Proceed with the removal - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right side). Proceed with the removal - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right side). Proceed with removal - 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r . Drain the air conditioner coolant circuit - 5540A10 l/h or r/h front side light (one) - r+r . Proceed with removal - 7055A18 Windscreen base TRIM - R.R. . 1. Undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the pipe from the multistage valve to the expansion valve (1b), expansion valve side.

Seal the disconnected connectors, using suitable plugs, to prevent humidity and impurities from entering the system.

1. Undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the pipe from the multistage valve to the expansion valve (1b), multistage valve side.

Seal the disconnected connectors, using suitable plugs, to prevent humidity and impurities from entering the system.

2. Remove the pipe from the multistage valve to the expansion valve (2a) after having released it from the fastenings (2b).

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Place the pipe from the multistage valve to the expansion valve (1a) back in its housing and secure it using the fastenings (1b).2. Connect the pipe from the multistage valve to the expansion valve (2a), multistage valve side and tighten the nut (2b) to the recommended torque.

Replace the O-Ring seals for the connectors. Only use green coloured seals, resistant to R134A refrigerant. Lubricate the thread of the connectors using anti-freeze.

1. Connect the pipe from the multistage valve to the expansion valve (1a), expansion valve side, and tighten the nut (1b) to the specified torque.

Replace the O-Ring seals for the connectors. Only use green coloured seals, resistant to R134A coolant fluid. Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.

Fill the air conditioner coolant system - 5540A10 l/h or r/h front side light (one) - r+r . Proceed with refitting - 7055A18 Windscreen base TRIM - R.R. . Proceed with refitting - 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r . Proceed with the refitting - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right side). Proceed with the refitting - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right side).
