Functional description

The Cruise Control function is controlled by engine management unit M10 upon a command from the Cruise Control lever H7 located to the left of the steering wheel. The control H7 is supplied when the ignition is switched on (15/54) - pin 2 - from the line protected by the fuse F5 of the junction unit B2.

Control H7 is connected to the engine management control unit M10:

  • from pin 4 of H7, with the OFF signal
  • from pin 1 of H7 with the RECALL signal
  • from pin 6 of H7 with the SET + signal
  • from pin 5 of H7 with the SET - signal
The engine management control unit M10 also receives the signal coming from the second brke lights switch contact I30 with an ignition-controlled supply (15/54) from the line protected by fuse F9 of junction unit B2. For the management of the Cruise Control function the control unit M10 also uses the signal coming from the clutch pedal switch I31 (for versions with a manual gearbox) and the accelerator pedal potentiometer K55 See E5030 PETROL ENGINE ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT signals or See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT . Engine management unit M10, sends a signal to instrument E50 - pin 12 of connector A - which turns on the CRUISE warning light when the system is working.
