Functional description
The alarm system is controlled by alarm
control unit
M30 integral with the siren.
The control unit is supplied directly by
the battery at pin 3 of connector A and at pin 7 of connector B
(supply for the direction indicators) by the line protected by the
fuse
F66 in the luggage compartment junction unit B45.
The supply controlled by the ignition (15/54)
reaches pin 12 of connector B of control unit
M30 via the line
for relay T24 of B45 protected by fuse F78 of B45;
Pin 9 of connector A of
M30 is earthed.
Control unit
M30 controls door closure
via switches N50, N55, N51, N56, which send an earth signal to pins
8, 16, 9 and 15 of connector B respectively when the door is open
(the same switches turn on the door open indication leds

.
The bonnet lid is controlled by switch
I10,
which is connected to pin 18 of connector B, while the boot lid
is controlled by switch I11, which is connected to pin 17 of connector B
(the same switch turns on the boot light

Volumetric sensor unit
K62 receives supply
and earth signals from pins 8 and 11 of connector A of M30, and
sends on the alarm control signal to pin 12 of connector A of M30.
Pin 1 of connector A of
M30
sends
alarm led control signal

.
Pins 1 and 2 of connector B of
M30
produce control signals for the direction indicators
See E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS / HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS
.
The receiver for the remote control
M35
is supplied directly by the battery at pin 3 from the line protected
by fuse F66 of the luggage compartment junction unit B45.
An ignition-operated power supply (INT/A)
reaches pin 7 of
M35 via the line for relay T24 of B45 protected
by fuse F78 of junction unit unit B45. Pin 4 of M35 is earthed.M35 pin 1 sends a control signal to relay
T26, located in the luggage compartment junction unit B45 to turn
on the flashing side lights upon alarm system activation.
M35 (pins 5 and 6) issue door lock and
door release signals

Control unit
M30 and receiver M35 are
both equipped with a self-diagnostic unit that may be used by connecting
the unit to connector R10 via pin 11.
This receives signals
from pin 6 of connector A of
M30 and pin 2 of remote control
receiver M35. See E8010 DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR
This serial line also acts as a connection
