Functional description

The diagnostic socket R10 receives a direct supply at pin 16 from the line protected by fuse F18 of junction unit B2.Pins 4 and 5 are earthed. Pin 1 is connected to the ABS control unit M50, pin 11 See E7020  ABS See E7022  VDC Pin 3 is connected to Air Bag control unit M60 , pin 3 of connector A See E7030 AIRBAG . Pin 11 is connected to alarm control unit M30 - pin 6 of connector A - and remote control receiver M35 - pin 2  See E7015  ALARM Pin 8 is connected to Code control unit M20 pin 5 See E7010 CODE . Pin 7 is connected to engine management control unit M10 via a dedicated line.

Pin 9 is connected via a single line to numerous control units and electronic devices:

  • to instrument panel E50 pin 1 of connector C See E4010 INSTRUMENT PANEL ;
  • to electronic Check device M45 pin 8 of connector B See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS ; ;
  • to ICS Display E60 - pin 1 of connector B: this collects - in a single test channel - diagnostic information on display E60, and also information on control unit M70 - pin 13 of connector C and navigator control unit M90.  See E4090  NAVIGATOR See E6020  AIR CONDITIONING;
  • on versions with automatic transmission, to the CAE control unit M55
Pin 12 is connected to the headlamp control units F10 and F11 at pin 8 See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR . Pin 13 is connected to control unit M84 pin 12 of connector A via the special diagnostic line See E3090 PARKING SENSOR .
