3314893 - 5540C46 sensor for correcting/aligning gas discharge lighting units on rear suspension - r r

Removing ( Refitting ) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Make sure that the ignition is off (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op.   5530B10  battery - r+r ).

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the light cluster alignment rear sensor.

2. Undo the nut (2a) and disconnect the connecting rod (2b) from the light cluster alignment rear sensor.3. Undo the bolts (3a) and remove the mounting bracket (3b) complete with light cluster alignment rear sensor (3c).At the bench, undo the nuts and separate the light cluster alignment rear sensor from the bracket.
Refitting ( Removing ) Fit the light cluster alignment rear sensor to the bracket and tighten the nuts.Place the mounting bracket, complete with light cluster alignment rear sensor, back in its housing and secure it by tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

Refitting ( Removing ) Check that the sensor is not damaged.Position the sensor and secure it using the bolt.Connect the connecting rod and tighten the nut.Connect the electrical connection.If one of the system components is being replaced (motor, headlamp, sensor, etc.) it is necessary to connect the diagnostic equipment and carry out a self-learning procedure to automatically reset the system which must recognize the correctly aligned headlamp position (position '0') from which to make subsequent adjustments for each headlamp.Remove the car from the ramps.
