Description
The vehicle is prepared for fitting a cellular
telephone.This preparation consists of a specific
connection, located inside the tunnel cover by the centre armrest
between the front seats which provides the supply for the telephone
and the connection for the hands free function.The predisposition comprises the
following parts:
- GSM aerial
- a hands-free speaker, located in the passenger door. It
is the same loudspeaker as for the radio, with a double connection;
- preparation for a microphone in the area of the front
courtesy light;
- connection for the supply and recharging of the cellular
telephone, located in the central armrest;
- cables for supplying and connecting the components.
This aerial is fitted at the rear of the
roof: it is the dual reception band type (GSM-ETACS at 900 Hz and
D.C.S. at 1800 Hz) with a specific coaxial cable connected to the
I.C.S. display. |
The aerial is dual purpose because
it also incorporates the Navigation System GPS, which is connected
by a specific cable to the Navigation System CD.

The mobile phone connection has two power
supplies; one direct from the battery and one ignition operated;
the above lines are protected by two fuses in the junction unit.
