3314772 - 5040A44 air conditioner dehydrating filter/accumulator - r+r

Follow the safety instructions ( See assembly 5040A air conditioner coolant circuit ).

) Make sure that the ignition is off (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op. 5530B10 battery - r+r ).

- 5040A10 Air conditioning refrigerant CIRCUIT - Draining and Refilling . 1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the multi-stage pressure switch.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) and disconnect the coolant fluid inlet and outlet pipes (2b) from the drier filter/accumulator.

Seal the disconnected connectors, using suitable plugs, to prevent humidity and impurities from entering the system.

3. Undo the bolt (3a) and open the drier filter/accumulator mounting collar (3b).4. Remove the drier filter/accumulator.

Refitting ( Removing

)

Do not leave the filter with the connectors disconnected for longer than is strictly necessary.

Place the drier filter/accumulator back in its housing.Close the drier filter/accumulator mounting collar and tighten it using the bolt.Connect the coolant fluid inlet and outlet pipes to the drier filter/accumulator and fix them tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

Replace the O-Ring seals for the connectors.Only use green coloured seals, resistant to R134A coolant fluid.Lubricate the thread of the connectors using anti-freeze.

Connect the electrical connection to the multi-stage pressure switch. - 5040A10 Air conditioning refrigerant CIRCUIT - Draining and Refilling .

Removing ( Refitting

) Ensure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal (-).

Drain the air conditioning refrigerant - 5040A10 Air conditioning refrigerant CIRCUIT - Draining and Refilling . Proceed with removal - 7055B39 front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r . Proceed with removal - 7055A43 central front grille - r r . Proceed with removal - 7055A41 RIGHT FRONT GRILLE - R.R. . Proceed with removal - 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER . Proceed with the removal - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left sides). Proceed with removal - 7040D30 engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with removal - 7025A34 bonnet lid lock (one) - r+r or repair . Proceed with removal - 7090G06 HEADLAMP HOUSING CONNECTING CROSSMEMBER - Replace. . 1. Undo the cap and remove it.2. Remove the circlip (2a) and remove the air conditioning drier filter (2b).

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the air conditioning drier filter back in its housing and secure it using the circlip.Place the plug back in position. Proceed with refitting - 7090G06 HEADLAMP HOUSING CONNECTING CROSSMEMBER - Replace. . Proceed with refitting - 7025A34 bonnet lid lock (one) - r+r or repair . Proceed with refitting - 7040D30 engine bay front beam cover - r r . Proceed with the refitting - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r (Right and left sides). Proceed with refitting - 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER . Proceed with refitting - 7055A41 RIGHT FRONT GRILLE - R.R. . Proceed with refitting - 7055A43 central front grille - r r . Proceed with refitting - 7055B39 front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r . Fill the air conditioner coolant system - 5040A10 Air conditioning refrigerant CIRCUIT - Draining and Refilling . Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
