) Position the vehicle on the ramp. Make sure that the ignition is off (STOP position), then disconnect the negative battery terminal (refer to op. 5530B10 battery - r+r ).

At the bench, rotate the exhaust gas headlamp control unit to release it from the fastening on the light cluster.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and move the cover (1b).

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the dipped headlamp bulb holder, rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the exhaust gas headlamp control unit.

2. Remove the exhaust gas headlamp control unit.

Refitting ( Removing

) Place the exhaust gas headlamp control unit back in its housing.Connect the electrical connection to the exhaust gas headlamp control unit.Connect the electrical connection to the dipped headlamp bulb holder rotating it in a clockwise direction.Place the cover back in its housing and secure it using the nuts.Rotate the exhaust gas headlamp control unit in an anti-clockwise direction to fasten it to the light cluster. - 5540B40 Gas discharge LEFT LIGHT CLUSTER CONTROL UNIT (one) - R.R . . - 7055B10 Front BUMPER - R.R. . - 7055A43 central front grille - r r . - 7055A41 RIGHT FRONT GRILLE - R.R. . - 7055B39 front additional wheel arch half (one), lh or rh, front element - r r . - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r .
