Fit the flange (1a) and the flange (1b) on the tool (1c).

The reference on the flange (1a) should always be positioned facing upwards and position 1 is used for the left shock absorber and position 2 for the right shock absorber.

2. Fit the appropriate element.

The element is fitted in position 3 of the flange.

1. Fit the spring/shock abosrber assembly on the support tools and compress it.

1. Undo the nut (1a) for the upper shock absorber buffer using tools (1b) and (1c).

1. Loosen the compression tool and remove the shock absorber (1a), the spring (1b), the boot (1c), the upper plate (1d) and the upper buffer (1e).

Refitting ( Removing

) 1. Assemble the spring/shock absorber assembly components and fit them on the support tools using the tool for centering the shock absorber stem.

1. Tighten the nut (1a) for the upper shock absorber buffer to the recommended torque using tools (1b) and (1c).

Loosen the compresion tool and remove the spring/shock absorber assembly.Reposition the tool used for dismantling/reassembling the spring/shock absorber assembly. - 4410A10 l/h or r/h front suspension spring/damper unit (one) - r+r - check wheel geometry separately if necessary . - 4410A80 damper lower fork - r r . - 4450B10 Front WHEEL (one) - R.R. . - 7040D14 engine bay rear side cover (one) lh or rh - r r . - 7040D12 engine front side cover (one) lh or rh - r r . Check and if necessary adjust the wheel geometry values - 4450A10 front wheel geometry - check using optical equipment - includes front wheel tow-in adjustment if necessary .
