Before removing and refitting the control unit, carry out the following preliminary operations.

Place the ignition key in the OFF position and extract it;
Disconnect the battery.

) - 7040H36 central trim lower element - r r - 7040H38 central pillar upper element - r r1. Disconnect the electrical connection.

2. Undo the bolts.3. Remove the sensor relasing it from its housing.

Refitting ( Removing

) Check that the side Air Bag sensor is not damaged.Place the side Air Bag sensor in position.Tighten the bolts.Connect the electrical connection. - 7040H38 central pillar upper element - r r - 7040H36 central trim lower element - r rUsing the Examiner, check that the system has not picked up errors during the operation.
