2753011 - 5580C26 LOCK BARREL KEY/SWITCH for deactivating passenger 'AIR BAG - R.R.

Before removing and refitting the switch for deactivating the passenger Air Bag module, the following preliminary operations must be carried out: (1) turn the ignition off ('STOP') and remove the key; (2) disconnect the battery terminals and insulate them; (3) wait at least 10 minutes before proceeding.

FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY RULES (see assembly 5508C - AIR BAG SYSTEM).

Removing ( Refitting

) Open the dashboard compartment flap.Using a suitable tool, remove the passenger Air Bag deactivation switch.1. Disconnect the electrical connection.

2. Remove the switch for deactivating the passenger Air Bag.

Refitting ( Removing

) Follow these precautions:

Handle the passenger Air Bag deactivation switch with extreme caution. Ensure the battery is disconnected.

Connect the electrical connection.

Position the passenger Air Bag deactivation switch in its seating.Close the dashboard compartment flap.Connect the battery terminals.Check the operation of the system using the Examiner or another tester.
