1. Open the tailgate and support it appropriately.2. Using a screwdriver, release the retaining springs (without removing
them).3. Release and remove the telescopic strut.

Check that the telescopic strut
is undamaged.Refit the telescopic strut, press-fitting
the ends of the anchoring pins into their housings.Fit the retaining clips on both ends.Check that the telescopic strut is working
properly.
