169000334 - Z095 DIAGNOSIS CANNOT BE STARTED ON THE AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT

To apply this procedure it is necessary to bear in mind that measurements cannot be taken on the Air Bag wiring.

The Air Bag wiring is a safety component. If there are problems with the cables or the connectors then the wiring should be replaced in one piece.

1	ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the connection for the diagnostic equipment battery terminals and diagnostic socket is correct. 2	ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	With the ignition ON, check that the positive power supply is present up to the connector which connects the dashboard wiring with the Air Bag wiring    See E7030 AIRBAG	Move on to Step 3	No power supply positive	Turn the ignition key OFF.Check the condition of the supply fuses and the continuity of the supply wiring.In the case of a fault, renew it
3	EARTH CONNECTIONS CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	With the ignition key OFF, check for the earth connection for the Air Bag wiring	Move on to Step 4	No earth connection detected	Restore the connection    See E7030 AIRBAG

	Check the continuity between the control unit container and the vehicle earth	Move on to Step 5	Break in the connection detected	Restore the continuity by removing the paint or traces of oxide on the nuts/bolts fixing the control unit to the bracket and the latter to the vehicle bodywork
5	SERIAL LINE CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the earth insulation and the continuity of the serial line between the diagnostic socket and the control unit	Move on to Step 6	Contact to earth or break in the connection detected	Turn the ignition key OFF.Replace the wiring
