169000543 - Z69 LATERAL ACCELERATION SENSOR AY ERROR

The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: "C1325 Lateral Acceleration Sensor (AY)"
this error is signalled if the sensor voltage is < 0.3 V or > 4.7 V or if the value sent by the sensor is not plausible. This means that there is an open circuit or short circuit (positive or earth) for the sensor or the wiring, that the sensor is mechanically damaged or that the reading circuit is damaged
1OUTPUT VOLTAGE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the signal output voltage for the slewing sensor (lateral acceleration signal) is between 0.3 and 4.7 V See E7020 ABS (Test A3)
the lateral acceleration sensor is included in the slewing sensor
Move on to Step 3Voltage outside of rangeMove on to Step 2
2ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the continuity (no open circuit, short circuit at Vbat or Gnd) in the slewing sensor power supply wiring. See E7023 ESP Check that the sensor is correctly fastened on the tunnelMove on to Step 3

  • Wiring faulty
  • Sensor fastening faulty

  • Renew the wiring and move on to Step 4
  • Restore the correct fastening for the slewing sensor and move on to Step 4
5CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment.Carry out the road test    See Test 3350EA ESP SYSTEM ACTUATION CHECKto ensure that the control unit checks whether there are any errors still present.Return to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipmentEnd of diagnosisThe fault persistsMove on to Step 2
