169000554 - Z70 SLEWING SENSOR ERROR

The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: "C1315 Slewing sensor"
this error is signalled if the sensor voltage is < 0.3 V or > 4.7 V or if the value sent by the sensor is not plausible. This means that there is an open circuit or short circuit (positive or earth) for the sensor or the wiring, that the sensor is mechanically damaged or that the reading circuit is damaged
1SENSOR COMPATIBILITY CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the design number for the slewing sensor is compatible with the part number for the Model-Version-Series in questionMove on to Step 2The design number is not compatibleReplace the slewing sensor with one that is compatible for the Model-Version-Series Op. 3350E30 LATERAL ACCELERATION AND YAW SENSOR R RMove on to Step 5
2OUTPUT VOLTAGE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the signal output voltage for the slewing sensor (lateral acceleration signal) is between 0.3 and 4.7 V See E7023 ESP     See Test 3350EC SIDE ACCELERATION/YAW SENSOR CHECKMove on to Step 4Voltage outside of rangeMove on to Step 3
4VEHICLE GEOMETRY CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the vehicle geometry (toe in, camber)Move on to Step 5The fault persistsMove on to Step 5
5CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Delete the errors using the diagnostic equipment.Carry out the road test    See Test 3350EA ESP SYSTEM ACTUATION CHECKto ensure that the control unit checks whether there are any errors still present.Return to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipmentEnd of diagnosis

  • The fault persists and Step 3 has not been carried out yet
  • The fault persists and Step 3 has already been carried out

  • Move on to Step 2
  • Replace the slewing sensor Op. 3350E30 LATERAL ACCELERATION AND YAW SENSOR R R
