The diagnostic equipment signals the following errors: "C1101 - Engine CAN Messages Error" and "U1701 - Engine management node missing error"

error C1101 is signalled if the brake control unit detects invalid messages from the Engine Management control unit.Error U1701 is signalled if the control unit does not detect the Engine Management control unit.

3	CHECK THE CAN NETWORK ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the connection between the engine management control unit and the ABS control unit is correct    See E7030 AIRBAG    See Test 5505OA CAN LINE C CHECK	Move on to Step 4 1	CAN electrical connections faulty	Restore the correct connection
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Clear the errors using the ExaminerCarry out a road test    See Test 3350EA ESP SYSTEM ACTUATION CHECKto ensure that the control unit checks whether there are any errors still present.Return to the workshop and check that the fault is no longer present using the diagnostic equipment	End of diagnosis
