Before removing and refitting the front seat with an airbag, the following preliminary operations must be carried out: (1) turn the ignition key to the OFF position and extract it; (2) disconnect the battery terminals and insulate them; (3) wait for at least 10 minutes before continuing.

FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY RULES (see assembly 5508C - AIR BAG SYSTEM)

Removing ( Refitting ) Move the seat back completely.1. Disconnect the electrical connection.

1. Undo the front fixing bolts. Move the seat completely forwards.1. Undo the rear fixing bolts. Remove the seat. Refitting ( Removing ) Observe the following precaution.

Handle the front seat and airbag very carefully. Ensure the battery is disconnected.

Position the seat and tighten the rear fixing bolts to the recommended torque.

Move the seat back completely.Tighten the front fixing bolts to the recommended torque.

Connect the electrical connection.

Connect the battery terminals.Check the operation of the system using the Examiner or another tester.

Any adjustment of the seat must be carried out with the vehicle stationary.

Having released the adjustment lever, check that the seat is secured on the guides by trying to pull it forwards and push it backwards.
