Functional description
The Air Bag control unit M060 comprises two specific connectors.Connector A:
- pin 2: ignition-controlled supply, from the line protected by fuse F50, housed in the junction unit under the instrument panel B002;
- pin 3: connection to the diagnostic socket R010 See E8010 DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR ;
- pin 5: sending an impact signal to the CONNECT control unit M065 to activate the emergency phonecall procedure;
- pins 1, 7: connection to the passenger Air Bag deactivation switch H075; the passenger Air Bag activation/deactivation control depends on the resistance present as an output at the control unit pins;
- pins 9, 10: controls for managing the warning lights on the instrument panel E050, 'passenger Air Bag deactivation' and 'Air Bag fault'; the warning lights are of the smart type, i.e. they are supplied by both the instrument panel and the Air Bag control unit; the switching on of these lights is controlled by a negative signal supplied by the Air Bag control unit;
- pins 21, 22: supply to the driver's Air Bag (on steering wheel); the supply through the clock spring D110;
- pins 23, 24: supply to passenger's Air Bag module (on dashboard) Q011.
Connector B:
- pins 1, 2: connection with driver's side Air Bag sensor K066;
- pins 3, 4: connection with passenger's side Air Bag sensor K067;
- pins 13, 14: supply to driver's seat belt pretensioner Q020;
- pins 15, 16: supply to passenger's seat belt pretensioner Q021;
- pins 17, 18: supply to driver's Head Bag module Q040;
- pins 19, 20: supply to passenger's Head Bag module Q041;
- pins 21, 22: supply to driver's Side Bag module Q030:
- pins 23, 24: supply to passenger's Side Bag module Q031:
