169002333 - E3022 HEADLAMP WASHER - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION (4x4, POWERED THROTTLE)

Operational description

The steering column switch unit H005 sends the command to the body computer node M001 to activate the headlamp washer pump by means of a negative signal, with an earth reference C020 connector B (from pin 2 connector B of H005).

Earth C020 is secured to the passenger compartment floor and is positioned near the right front wheel arch (footwell area).

The headlamp washer command is sent by the steering column switch unit H005 from pin 6 connector A (the same signal sent for the activation of the windscreen washer).Having received the command, the body computer node M001 sends a negative signal from pin 6 connector D to the coil for relay T17 housed in the engine compartment junction unit B001. The relay closes its internal contact and provides a direct battery supply for the headlamp washer pump motor N025.The headlamp washer pump motor is only activated if the body comptuer node M001 receives the dipped or main beam headlamps on signal (at pin 5 or 6 connector P) coming from the steering column switch unit H005.
